Jackson & Perkins: Passionflower 'Lavender Lady'

Until now, Passionflower has been limited to moderate and warm climates, where the long growing season gives it a chance to grow and bloom in containers where it is not hardy. 'Lavender Lady', however, is determined to bring the fragrant beauty of this twining vine to the north! You will find that no matter how short your growing season, this Passionflower will set buds and flower if given full sun and water. Enjoy the rare sight of these huge blooms in your own landscape.

Hardy only in zones 9-11, 'Lavender Lady' is a cheery container subject everywhere else, and is even evergreen or semi-evergreen in warm climates. But even in the north, it grows, sets buds, and blooms so readily that you can safely wait until after those late, freak frosts of spring before setting out the container!
