Update: I bought this thing. It took me forever to decide, but I finally went with the LG. I am in love with my washing machine. I not kid you. This thing is hot!

Double load, front load, energy efficient, steam clean option which reduces dry cleaning dramatically, heavy load option, sanitary option, low to high spin option, and check this out, super hot water option (it heats your heated water!).

Rated highest in Consumer Report's evaluation of washer dryers, the LG Tromm steam washer beats the others because it tested very good and excellent in all categories - washing performance, energy efficiency, water efficiency, capacity, gentleness and noise. It's also has 4.0 cu.ft. capacity, which is huge. Comes in blue or cherry red (too bad not a good red), and of course, white. Price is competitive with like quality washers + dryers (Kenmore and Samsung).

These are probably the ones I will end up buying. FYI, the white is $300 less at $1,100. That's just silly, pricing style and design (I think I prefer white over blue or red anyway). (via consumer reports)
