I own this already and it really is a unique conversation piece. If you can get one of these in your apartment, then do it. It does take a while to put up and make sure someone helps you. I did it by myself and it was really hard but I got it done. For safety reasons make sure someone helps you.

So, truthfully -at around $900 -I would never buy this. But I think the concept is really cool. I'm more of a clean lines type of girl -but I can see why one would covet this.

OMG I LOVE these. I struggle to justify the cost; it seems like this could be built pretty inexpensively, now that they've been invented...This would be an amazing addition to any whimsical or modern room

I miss my bookworm. I had to leave when I sold a flat, as I didn't have time to fill the 36 screw holes it would have left in the wall. But it's the coolest, most versatile shelf ever. It took up the whole wall in my hallway... all 8 metres of it...

This book shelf is so much fun. It is extremly flexible that I startet to adjust it almost every month whenever I get a new book or poster. I love it. (via (smow))

Why think in straight lines when you can have a little fun? Ron Arad's Bookworm is a great piece of design work that can work well in nearly any room. I love the contrast of the curving shelf against striped wallpaper. I also would love to see the Bookworm above a desk. Let the creative juices flow...

A hit since its introduction, this "classic" by Ron Arad is a flexible shelf of batch-dyed fire retardant PVC which mounts to the wall in a configuration that you, the consumer, decide. Whether it is a spiral or an undulating wave, this shelf takes on a heightened sculptural function. Perfect for books or CDs, this piece also looks great (and very complete) without anything on it.
