My kid is lousy at spelling! This is a great way for the entire family to help her improve that and her vocabulary, and it's also fun. (via toporanch)

I know most people will think this is a total geek fest, but the more I play this game the more I like it. It's by far one of the best games out there. And the lazy susan feature rocks! I recommend a nice Guiness while playing.

It's the crosswords game we all know and love... but the deluxe edition has a spinning center so everyone gets a good vantage point!

Scrabble is a very under-rated game. Its been a while but fell back in love with it after visiting a friend and playing all night.

Scrabble is the King of all board games. And if you're dealing with royalty, you have to have the best. Get this one with the lazy susan. It's worth it.

I've tried lots of games, and Scrabble is one of a very few that doesn't really get old - we just keep coming back to it. It's a good mental challenge with just enough luck and possibilities to keep things interesting. If I keep playing for long enough, eventually I'm going to get to write something like "Quixotic" for 9x (two triple word scores at once) and score something like 400 points in one turn.

I like this deluxe edition (which we have and use) because it's easy to swivel the board and the pieces are a nice size.

Scrabble is intensely addictive. I think everyone should share my addictions. This particular scrabble set is quite nice. The board sits on a lazy-susan so you can spin it around easily during game play. This means that you can be infinitely lazy while playing scrabble, which is a good aim in life.

Scrabble is a great way to encourage kids to learn to spell well and increase vocabulary. However the greatest increase in vocabulary that I've experienced is in two letter and sometimes four letter words. As a kid, my mom used to beat me relentlessly at scrabble. Now, when I visit we get out the board and I beat her. She accuses me of cheating. (via My mom)
