My birthday party was last night and my friends got me the best gift ever. A KitchenAid stand mixer. I'm in serious love with KitchenAid stand mixers. I've used a few in cooking and baking classes before and they've been fantastic. Now I own (or will) one. The only question I have is, empire red or onyx black?

Say if you have a theme for your kitchen i.e retro or just two colors pick within these categories. I am loving these mixers too especially the Empire red one it fits into both the retro and a multicolored kitchen.

KitchenAid makes the BEST mixers we've used. With the exception of a small, hand mixer (tiny jobs), we exclusively use KitchenAid mixers on Cooking With Kat (http://katcurlee.com)
