The attachment features for the kitchen aid mixers are great. I use the meat grinder and casing stuffer to make my own sausage.

Oprah's personal chef and her favorite cooks use this mixer and you should too. It is the BEST and it comes in a variety of colors. Red will make the perfect Christmas present and red is always chic and in style ( I would probably go for pink).

I've noticed among my cooker and caker friends that the KitchenAid Stand Mixer has become the latest coveted item aka status symbol...the constant item on everyones wish list. I just got mine a few weeks ago (it's been on my list for awhile and I finally had enough points through my Chase Rewards) and have already used it several times. It's sturdy, fun to use, easy to clean, and a workhorse for most jobs. I'm most familiar with the professional version used in pastry kitchens but I hardly notice the difference and I certainly don't need the oversized version (6 qts) in my tiny kitchen. Of course, I got it in black.
