Savvy crafters know that today's hippest designs hail from Japan. -------------------------------------- The people at Chronicle Books have snapped up the 'Japanese Crafts' trend that has steadily been swapping over to America and Europe since about three years, and they just started their "Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts!" series! This is really exciting, as I have predicted, already in 2004, that it would probably not be before 2008 that we in the West are going to see English editions of our favourite Japanese crafts books. And now look! Each book in their new series features patterns in English, plus the beautiful photos that are so typical for Japanese craft books. p.b. "kyuuto" means "cute" in Japanese; it's one of many non-Japanese words that were literally adapted.
