Kindle 2

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kindle 2!! I got it as my Year Gift (meaning I won't get another present all year and this one covers it all!) I got it about three weeks ago and have gone through 6 books. Right now I'm reading Tolstoy! Amazon's Whispernet is so awesome! It's a free service! You order your book and it's there almost immediately! The books cost between $0 (free) and $10. There are oodles of free books that other readers have uploaded and most of the classics (including Tolstoy) cost NOTHING! I carry my K2 in my purse and use anytime there is a lag: doctor's waiting rooms, standing in line, lunchtime at work, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Skinit.com has skins you can customize! Mine has "Cindiva's Kindle" across the top and is covered in beautiful pink cherry blossoms! :0) (via Amazon)

Omgosh, if you are an avid reader like i am u must invest in the kindle i have read countless books since i bought it not too long ago (granted they were all pretty much chick-lit....twilight anyone? but i read none the less i should get some credit for voluntarily reading a book!) it's awesome, it's honestly better than reading regular books believe me i know mine was on the fritz for a couple days and i couldn't stand being without reading so i picked up chasing harry winston (btw awesome book, funny, passionate, although the characters lower your self-esteem temporarily...at least i hope the verdict's still out on me 'adriana' was a big blow to my self-image miss perfect this, that and her toes too! ok maybe not such a good idea....nevermind forget it horrible book you will hate this woman and want to be her all at the same time and i wouldn't do that to you girls, now that we got that out of the way oh yeah where was i? oh right, so i missed my kindie the whole time i hate everything about regular books the only thing i do like is you can easily go back and forth in books if you need to review something but then again the kindle's better at that because you can do a word search and it'll find your page, i hate that as soon as u stop reading the kindle u have to turn it off to not waste battery or maybe thats just me, but the features on this thing are amazing by all means try out the new e-books and nooks and come report back to me what ya'll think in the meantime i'm going go read......jk :D

The kindle re-kindled my love with books!
I love the Amazon Kindle 2. I find that I read much more than I used to because it's so easy to use Whispernet to connect to Amazon and browse for books. If a friend recommends a book in passing, I pull out my kindle and download a free sample of the book right there. If it looks good, I buy it! It's so easy to use!
I read on trains, planes, and automobiles. I read at least a book per month now that I have the kindle. I used to read a book a year if I'm lucky.

Incredible invention. Perfect for travel-- no more searching the airport for yet another mystery novel for the flight. I Love It and use it all the time.

Because Steve Jobs says "people don't read anymore". I think that's a bit cynical and I'm really glad that Amazon is innovating in this area.
While it is still a tad more expensive than I'd like it to be, the Kindle is nevertheless something I'm watching closely...
Also, they say it looks like paper and reads like paper. I want to know: Does it SMELL like paper?
