Ok this is like my American Express. I don’t leave home without it. The 17-inch screen allows me to watch my yoga and Pilates DVD in my hotel room with ease. I also love to watch movies on the road to wind down without worrying if the hotel has a DVD player. Not to mention it’s like having your desktop with you when you want to check emails and catch up on some work.

I use a Sony VAIO SZ and I've enjoyed it overall, but the brand's not for everyone.
Sony VAIO notebooks are generally much more expensive than other brands. What you're paying for is sleek design and the cool factor. If having a cool looking computer is a primary concern, then look no further than the VAIO brand.
The VAIO SZ, TX, and UX lines are their pro lines in the U.S.
The SZ is a 13.3-inch notebook that appeals to business users who still like to have fun. The LCD's are razor thin and housed in either Carbon Fiber or Magnessium lids. The SZ is extremely lightweight and portable, but features top of the line components. The SZ features a full size keyboard and built-in Cingular wireless broadband.
The TX is for business people on the go. It is tiny and uses low-voltage processors and slower hardware than the SZ to maximize performance. Great for road warriors who want to travel light. The TX features Sprint EVDO wireles broadband.
The UX is the smallest of them all and can fit in one hand. Unless you have a very specialized reason for having this, don't bother looking twice at it. It will make a great second computer, but generally lacks the raw power and capacities that most power users demand.
