You can find left- and right-handed versionso of this bread knife. They cut throught the crustiest bread and because it´s serrated, you can use it for other things like tomatoes.

On its front page, Pravda once portrayed the lines out the door of Poilane's bread shop as "bread lines" indicating hard times in western Europe. Back before Perestroika. Poilane achieves its amazing crust by applying steam at just the right moment during the baking process, giving it that wonderful chewy exterior. If you're ever in the 6th arrondissement, stop by the Rue du Cherche Midi store for a taste. (via dioverton)
