    This isn't a cook book in the way that Better Homes & Garden makes cook books, rather this breaks down the processes of baking to make sure that you understand exactly what you're doing and why. It made me a more efficient baker; after reading this book learned that there are some steps you simply can skip, like taking the extra few minutes to make sure the butter is thoroughly creamed will make all the difference in the end result.
