This book changed my life, literally. Be Here Now is written by a successful Harvard Psychology professor with a pHD who left it all behind to travel with gurus in India to learn meditation, ascetisim, and most importantly the mantra of "Be Here Now".

It begins with his story of transitioning from Harvard Professor to Ram Dass, his spiritual name. The middle and biggest section of the book is a collection of psychadelic-esque illustrations meant to emphasize the meaning of "Be Here Now". The last section of the book reverts has pertinent information and knowledge, including the "Cookbook for a Sacred Life".

Holy crap this dude experienced some crazy hallucinations! He writes about his transformation from everyday professional man to drug connoisseur to yoga chic hippy! Written in the most colorful way printed in the most attractive bold type, different sized lettering on most of the pages. Kinda like a dimension Alice (Alice in Wonderland) may have visited. He includes photographs from his personal pictures and you actually have to move the book around in order to read some of the pages in this book. (via Alibris)
