You know, at my age, I never expected to warm up to rap "music". They speak so fast and sometimes the music is just so loud that i can't understand what's going on. My grandson gave me this Little Brother CD confidently promising that it didn't fall into the same category as the circus music you often hear on the radio. Surprisingly, I like it. There's real artistry here and the underlying music ("beats" they call it) is creative and soulful. This has me wondering if this is what I've been missing all along or if this Little Brother is somehow an anamoly.

If you're a fan of hip-hop this is a must have. The production by 9th Wonder is on point (as always) and Phonte and Big Pooh are at their best with the lyrics. I rate it 4.5 out 5.
