32 oz. Press Pot (French Press) - Stainless Steel

Glass French Presses are pretty - but they break easily. This sturdy press pot is made from 18/8 restaurant grade stainless steel and is vacuum insulated to retain heat during the brew process.

Not only has it withstood cleaning, but I've also taken it on the road with me many times. The plunger and mesh have never given me any problems. Just make sure you don't forget about cleaning it out after use: grounds will form mold over time and it is a royal pain to try cleaning caked coffee from a fine mesh screen.

I usually brew coffee for just myself, in which case I do a half pot. But I like the 32 oz. (1 liter) version because it'll do just enough for two mugs as well.

TIP: Put the press pot on a scale when your pouring water - the volume of grounds and the "bloom" (expansion of gas bubbles when hot water hits it) can vary from coffee to coffee. This will create inconsistent brews if you are visually dosing the water.
