Such a classic. As beautiful and stylish today as when it was first created. My brother found more of these at The Ubimall. (via The Ubimall)

I'll be sofa shopping soon, and I have my eye on this sleek fifties number. In hydra or aubergine, I think. Suitable for lounging, coffee sipping, rainy days, long winter naps, and overnight guests. Plus I'm a sucker for anything that screams vintage Mary Tyler Moore.

This has got to be my favorite Crate + Barrel sofa ever. The tragedy is that it came out just after we purchased our first brand new sofa set, also from Crate + Barrel (the axis). I still love what we got, but this would match the rest of our mid-century furniture quite perfectly. It is still very much on our wishlist as we have two living room areas, but we're saving up for the splurge. I've had the pleasure of seeing one in person and it is very comfy and sturdy for it's skinny little legs. Plus, the tufted back is such a nice detail, who can resist!

This couch has fully lived up to its appearance during its year + residence in our home. Many, many unavoidable naps have taken place there due to extreme comfort. It has a lovely, wide bench, with firm-yet-cozy cushions. The rear cushions are removable, so it could easily perform as a bed if necessary. I continue to be thrilled that we chose this quality piece of furniture (crafted entirely in the US, by a small, family company in West Virginia with whom Crate and Barrel does business). Crate and Barrel's Petrie Sofa for the win.

Love this sofa, the colors, the style and reminds me of the barcelona chair. Bit too expensive for my budget tho.
