The Amazing Desktop Dinosaur Plant
A recommendation by Yournewbestfriend

This plant is awesome! It looks like a dead ball of roughage when you get it. But, just add water and it comes back to life to a 4" evergreen! It is called a dinosaur plant because it has been around that long - when the dinosaurs roamed these grew to be 120 feet tall (taller than a T Rex). And, if you forget to water it, don't worry! The plant will just hibernate into it's little ball form for up to 50 years. Then, add water again and it will come back! This is so amazing I just have to get one to see it in action. My Dad would love it, too.
Interesting facts that made me want it more: When dry it curls up into a tight ball so that the wind can easily roll it to a new location or cubicle, hopefully closer to moisture. Retains 3% of its water when it is dehydrated. Enjoys life so much it survived the Ice Age."

It's like a Zombie, but with less brain eating action... This plant comes back to life... which is Awesome for someone with a Black Thumb like me... going on vacation? No worries it'll just curl into a ball until you get back and water it again... like that old boyfriend who always comes back to you... but with less grief.

another stocking stuffer that was a big hit. This plant is supposedly able to live for 50 years with no water and then spring back to life when it has water again. In a matter of hours it went from the dried up ball of matter to something sort of resembling a plant.... the green color is taking a little longer to come back. Fascinating project for kids or the plant lover around you.

I got one couple years ago, and put it in a safe and dry place (behind the couch). I hope it's still alive.
