Lately I've been partial to a good gin and tonic, probably because of my diet of P.G. Wodehouse literature (Bertie also likes whisky and soda.) If you are making a g&t, try out Bombay Sapphire. It's a newer, premium version of Bombay gin, with a finer, more subtle taste and a cool bottle.

I recommend Canada Dry for the Tonic Water.

Look folks, martinis aren't made with vodka. You can make vodka martinis, appletinis, even mango-cantaloupe-tinis. But a martini is made with gin, and you can't do better than this. Add a little of your favorite dry vermouth, shake, and toss in a couple of queen olives. Ahhhh...perfect!

This is always my go to gin. It works straight up on the rocks, and mixed with tonic water and a slice of lime is just delicious! It may not be the very best, but it's good enough for this pretentious dame!

Come on, does Bombay Sapphire really need a recommendation? It's a staple, isn't it?

Because long summer days by the pool call for a tall, cold G&T.

But drink responsibly. Please.
