Madvillain (Madvillainy)

Description

With Madlib's incredible mix of jazzy, head bumpin' beats and MF Doom's lyrical winds this is one you'll have in your weekly rotation. This is the un-Hip Hop, Hip-Hop CD. If you appreciate lyricism layed over some beats you've never heard; I introduce you to Madvillain. This is a must for any music lover with good taste and an I.Q. over 100. Quasimoto also comes in on "Americas Most Blunted"

Description

MF Doom and Madlib are two pillars in the underground hip-hop community, so it's only to be expected that when they come together, it's going to be nothing but good sounds. MF Doom is a bit unorthodox in his style, content, and delivery and equally, Madlib tends to run against the grain with his production, so this was definitely a good match.

Madvillain.... Man... First... MF Doom, then Madlib.... This is a very beat conscious album. For those who enjoy amazing turntablists and lyricist, this album is a must have. I am still blown away and have not stopped playing this album.

If you are a fan of Underground Hip Hop or more beat conscious and flow orientated Hip Hop, then you should really pick up this album. If you enjoy listening to artist like Wax Tailor, Madlib, Count Bass D, RJD2, Z-Trip or even Ugly Duckling, then you will definitely enjoy Madvillain.
