  The Tivoli Model One has become a staple for autdiophiles and decorators. Known more formally as the Henry Kloss Model One Radio, this modern radio is part of a noble lineage. Henry Kloss, who studied at MIT, worked with KLH Audio System and co-founded Cambridge Soundworks is the genius responsible for the Model One. The Model one is a very well made AM / FM radio with an AUX input for your MP3 player. Its 5:1 tuning ratio lets you tune into even hard to get stations. Its single speaker is capable of producing amazingly rich tones. While best suited for classical, jazz and spoken word, this radio handles top 40 style music just as well. Its rich sould is attributed to quality circuitry, a great speaker and its furniture grade wood veneered cabinet.

  I own this radio with a beige front and a light walnut case. It is nice to find products that are manufactured "they way they used to make them." The quality of construction is really nice. Also, I like the "long-throw" speaker. It has some groovy bass. I can rock out to the 60's station and it sounds better than my Sony boom-box. The Tivoli Model One is for people who appreciate the motto: Simplicity is Elegance. This is a simple, elegant radio.

  This little radio is not only beautifully designed, but also sounds great. Add a second speaker and you've got the Model Two as well. It's got surprisingly big sound for such a small piece.

  I have the beige/walnut version as well, and I love it. I have another stereo that was custom-made for me by a friend, and inspired by this one, so I thought I better buy the original. Now they're happily living together in my living room. This thing puts out a surprising amount of sound, and has a nice warm feeling to it, especially listening to the radio- NPR in particular. The voices sound warm and comforting.
