Although not a real tropical island of your very own, the AquaGlide AirPort - Inflatable Private Island ($311) does give you a comfortable 8' x 8' floating "spot" in the water of your very own. Not only can you use it as a giant inflatable raft and be king of the pool or share it with up to eight adults, you could use it as a floating dock or mooring station for small boats, kayaks and jet skis or best of all, as a massive towable behind a boat. The platform uses two air chambers covered in heavy-duty 600 denier, which resists tears, abrasions, and scuffs. It inflates easily with a standard air pump and deflates rapidly for storing in the trunk of most cars or in a boat cabinet. I can't wait for summer to get here! (via The Green Head)

As soon as I get my Lakeside House, I am going to buy one of these and lay on it all day. Yes.

I need a private island. Ideally, it would be larger, sandier, have more palm trees, and my private beach mansion/resort. Seeing as I'm only going to be having that in my dreams, I'll settle for this floating island.

Wow. I want to be her right now. Lying in the sun, floating on the water, alone. Sounds perfect. If I close my eyes tight enough... I'm there! Now if I only had a body of water to toss this puppy into.

My best friend & I have been talking about getting our own private island for years. This one is actually in our budget.
