I totally know what you mean -- as if the giant laptop wasn't enough of a pain, most "women's laptop totes" weigh a ton and are hideous. I also strongly advocate putting the laptop in a soft-sided sleeve and then dropping it into whatever tote you happen to carry that day. The sleeves from Built NY are great - sturdy, nearly waterproof, and basically indestructable. Best yet - they weigh nearly nothing.

Recommended for a facebook user who wants a soft case for my ginormous laptop., using I Want on Facebook.
