I loved this game so much.
The major downside to the game is the fact you have to use GBAs to play (also the single-player mode sucks) but it is just so much fun to play with other people.
I was really sad when we won, because it ended :(
And the music is so good... I downloaded the whole soundtrack XD

There isn't a lot of hype about this entry in the Final Fantasy series, mainly because it's vastly different from it's siblings. CC is built for multiplayer. The set-up is that you and your companions are part of a caravan setting out to obtain a magical liquid used to refresh the crystal shield that keeps your village alive. Multiplayer is easier because one character has to be carrying the chalice containing the liquid at all times (as it casts a shield you have to stay in to avoid taking health damage). With multiplayer, you can designate a character to carry the chalice while everyone else battles, opens chests, etc. Single player is still pretty fun, except you have a single moogle that carries the chalice for you -- and he occasionally gets tired, which can be a problem in a difficult boss battle. The graphics are, in my opinion, adorable, and the music is pretty good; I hear a lot of complaints about the opening song but I think it's beautifully sung. Now, multiplayer does require Gamecube to Gameboy Advance/Advance SP cables, as well as an Advance or Advance SP for each player -- but those are awfully cheap these days due to the DS's release, and given that you can go on in game for an infinite amount of time should you choose to, the natural insanity that results from multiplayer anything makes it worth it.
