SanDisk Sansa TakeTV 8GB Video Player
Viewing files from your home computer onto your HDTV or regular television generally takes a lot of technical know how and time. SanDisk has created a wonderfully simple and portable device which uses your standard USB memory stick to collect and play your multimedia files on your display or sound system. A plus is that this USB stick has a built in video player which supports Xvid and Divx video file formats.
With all the ways we can get television and movies to our computers there aren't a lot of super easy ways to get those files to your TV. The SanDisk Sansa TakeTV is really easy. You can simply drag and drop a file to the TakeTV player, put it in the TV hookup, and press play. Its that easy. Has built in file decoders so you don't have to worry about most common video file types. Great way to keep up to 8GB of videos and movies with you.
Hooray for the SneakerNet! As in, the network of paths you wear into the carpet when you bring the TakeTV USB device to and from your computer and your television set. Like floppy disks and burned CDs, the TakeTV is a low-tech solution to data sharing problems. This is a great way to move movies around a house for now. But when all TVs and and video devices can connect to a home WiFi network, I might change my tune.
