I like eating one of these before I head out for my brush with insanity known as the evening commute. It keeps me fed enough until I get home.
They are a bit strange in terms of texture - they are fruit, nuts and spices held together with dates. They are: natural, kosher, vegan, uncooked, and so on.
I like them.

After seeing others recommend Larabars, I decided to try them.
Wow.
I'm no raw unprocessed vegan kosher health nut, but these things have the perfect taste and I admit it is sort of a comfort to see that the list of ingredients is 3-6 simple items (e.g., "dates, almonds, unweetened cherries"). I love the "ginger snap" and "cherry pie" flavors and now I'm going to have to buy boxes of the others, too.
I'm not going to withdraw my recommendation for Clif Bars, but I definitely prefer the Larabars.

I stick mainly to an organic vegan diet. LOVE the Larabar. Coconut Cream Pie is my favorite. I love that is only has natural ingredients like dates, walnuts, etc. Usually 3-5 ingredients in each bar. It's healthy, and you can't beat the taste! (via Larabar)

When I was in Whole Foods someone pratically threw a few Lara Bars at me. I wasn't expecting much from the bar, but I tell you YUM! YUM! YUM!
So healthy and so darn good! You will be surprised just how good the bars are! The are raw food and kosher baby! A great snack and pick me up when you are on the go doing your thing!

Lara Bars were first recommended to me by my nutritionist, who only recommends 100% organic. I am gluten-allergic, and all Lara Bars are gluten free. The lemon bars are really awesome, but my favorites are the Ginger Snap and the Coconut.
Lara Bars are not made with high fructose anything, and nothing you can't pronounce. The ingredients are things like dates, figs, coconut, cocoa, ginger, cherries, bananas -- you get the picture. They are all chewy, sweet and satisfying!

Larabars will always be my first recommendation for a variety of reasons. first they are kosher, vegan, wholefood, all natural, raw foods for the most part, great for your health and digestive tract, minimally processed, easy to carry, easy to chew, and incredibly delicious with a ton of flavors to suit anyone's palate. My faves are lemon, ginger snap, coconut chocolate, coconut, cherry pie, java mocha, and lime. Run to your nearest health store or naturals market for this one!

The perfect snack or energy booster. Lärabars are tasty, wholesome, and contain just a couple of ingredients (4-6) per bar. So much more natural. Also Kosher, gluten + dairy free and Vegan approved.
I really like Chocolate Coconut. They're around 220 calories each, but if you eat them when appropriate these are a great way to get through the day. Real filling too.
