Some people don't like the idea of keeping a journal because its too much of a chore to keep up with it and make sure it stays in pristine condition (no coffee stains, ink smears, dog-eared pages), but this particular journal has instructions for to do just the opposite! Mess it up, tear it up, burn it up, whatever!

Who says journals have to be pristine? Keri Smith encourages, no, requires you to go all out and wreck your journal-step on it, throw it against the wall, splatter paint---all in the name of unleasing creativity.

I'm buying this as soon as possible. More of an art project than an actual journal, this book encourages you to cut, tear, and mutilate this book in ways such as stabbing it, painting with coffee and more! (via amazon.com)

This journal you shouldn't be afraid to damage, it was asking for it! This book is meant to be carried everywhere with you and actively participate in your life! The best journal ever ;)

This is a great gift for creative people who'd like to keep a journal but are intimidated by the empty page. "Oh, this journal is so lovely, how dare I (write, draw, paste, paint) in it?" This is a journal to be trashed. It breaks all the rules of what a journal should be. It smashes creative barriers with exercises that tell you how to. . . Wreck This Journal.
