I was making a big pitcher of iced tea earlier today and while I was boiling the water in a stainless steel tea kettle, I wondered why it wasn't made of glass. Seriously, why are almost all stove top tea kettles made of metal? Wouldn't it be kinda fun and cool to actually watch the water boil and bubble up right inside the kettle while the whole thing glows from the burning flame below? It would also be nice to know at a glance how close the water is to boiling instead of waiting for that annoying steam whistle to erupt. Well, I did a little research and found the coolest one out there, the simply named Glass Water Kettle. I did find an electric glass kettle as well, but it's something that you will have to store away in between uses, which is annoying. This one is stylish enough to leave right on the stove. As a piece in the kitchen that is permanently on display, I like my kettle to match the decor, and this piece is perfect! Instead of clunky obvious metal, why not opt for clean glass so it doesn't stand out so much? Plus, you'll always know when the water is boiling :)
