Ok, this I really can't live without. or can I? Perhaps a new version will be release that doesn't have the brain-dead small hard drive? Or maybe a version with th breakthrough of built in AT&T 3G ? Or maybe firewire? Is it 90 days I'd have to wait? 120?

Whose your (Mac) Daddy?

My husband uses the Apple store like other men use their local florist. Forgot the B-Day? Last minute Christmas/Anniversary/Sorry I was such a total A** gift?

Apple to the rescue! This is why I own every possible incarnation of the ipod as well as the iphone and my 17" Mac Book Pro (I had to give birth for that one).

This V-Day I'm dying to find the Air Mac stuffed in a box of chocolates.

I was originally eyeing the MacBook Pros, but work was purchasing me a machine and encouraged me to consider the MacBook Air . I knew it was way under-powered compared to the MacBook Pro, but I had to consider what I was going to be using it for as well. Mostly, I'll be using it for software architecture, blog posting, code review, and some perhaps light software development. So far, the machine has been great. I haven't used an MacBook Pro yet, and I'm sure given the benchmarks I've read that the Air is quite sluggish compared to it, but I never feel like I'm being held up by what I want to do. I don't think, that the lack of an optical drive will be a hinderance.

The form factor and weight are definite features of this laptop. I've walked around NYC for a few hours with this things in my bag, and I can barely tell I have it in there. Most other days with my old ThinkPad T43 I would have to think about whether I want to carry my laptop with me, but this is more of a, "Why not?" It's so light, that it's no trouble at all taking this around the city with you.

I should also note that I have an iMac at work so this is not my primary computer. This is a fantastic second computer. For anyone who has a desktop at work this is a great machine to have. I probably will postpone buying a home machine, because this gets the job done very nicely. (via Apple)
