Biotherm Homme ('Homme' = men) came up with a top-noth facial cleanser. As they suggest, I find it most useful as a pre-wash before you shave. It removes oils and dirt better than other brands, and does help tighten and mattify (their word,but it's probably a good thing) your skin, leaving you ready for an easy shave. Plus, it has a gentle, yet slightly masculine scent to it.

It's a little expensive, but you only need a fingertip of the stuff for your entire face, so it lasts awhile.
