He directed Eternal Sunshine, than The Science of Sleep, than this? I'm talking about Michael Gondry, of course and I have no idea how the segue occured, but it really worked for me. Follow Jack Black and Mos Def as the remake some movies....

I haven't seen this movie but the plot makes it look so funny. They erased the movies so they reenact them. I love Jack Black. (via amazon.com)

This is a cute, funny movie starring Mos Def and Jack Black. Usually, I don't like the latter. He's generally annoying in the same vein as Jim Carey and Robin Williams, but he nailed his role in Be Kind, Rewind. The movie has a warm, unique plot that provides a refreshing, warm diversion from most modern movies. Reminds me of something that could have been put out in the 80s.
