It's out on DVD!!!! Finally! The documentary I've been waiting all year for. I don't know about you, but I've heard all the buzz about the movie Helvetica, and waited and waited for it to come to my area, only for the showing to see out before I could take a breath. Now, just in time for the holidays, it's out on DVD. Go forth and buy a copy for all your designer friends. Assuming they haven't bought it for themselves already.

A fascinating documentary about the impact of a typeface on a half century of visual culture. Helvetica is the typographic thread that connects the most ubiquitous street signage to global corporate brands. This film is an absolute pleasure to watch and learn from. Comes in Blu-Ray and standard DVD formats.

This film should come with a warning. That is, if you watch it you will forever be critical of typefaces that aren't helvetica. Really though, this is a supremely interesting film that is well shot and developed.
