We have a 14' pool and really enjoy it. Last year we ran the pump approximately 7 hours a day and had problem with algae in August. This year we ran the pump approximately 12 hours a day and only had a slight algae problem that was taken care of by adding more chlorine.

Also, we had 2 leaks in the blue ring and used the patch kit. The patches worked but keep an eye on them after 3-4 weeks as the glue starts to come away from the edges and starts to leak. We had to re-glue 1 so far but still no problem. We feel either the pole or the garden hose touching the ring during cleaning put a very tiny hole in the ring causing the air to slowly leak out. Be careful not to touch the blue ring with these items while cleaning.
