The is the absolute best aspirator system - much, much better than the old bulb aspirator. I use one on my newborn, and have, ever since she came home. It's the only way to get the thick mucus out.

Here is a cool alternative to the "bulb nasal aspirator". The Nosefrida is cigar looking thing that you (Mom or Dad) control the amount of suction. You place the strange looking thing up towards the child’s nose (not inside) and you suck on the other end which is suppose to get that nasty stuff right out. Sounds like a good idea, and it I've read that it works in seconds!!!! (via Thingamababy)

I agree. Nosefrida is by far the only aspirator that parents need. You see what comes out, it's easy to clean, and it's so quick that my kids don't even mind it. In Europe, people have been using Nosefrida for years.
