No, they're not real, but the first time I saw the image, I scoffed at it! That, I think, would have to be the ultimate in luxury - gold and platinum disposable band-aids. Instead, what we have here are brooches, and they're quite poignant if you ask me. If you're a survivor or have been through a rough time, you deserve one of these. Flip the 3-inch brooch over to find, right where it fits over your heart, a garnet cabochon. And remember the little red string you would tug at to release a Band-Aid from its wrapper? (I'm dating myself here, folks!) Each Bandage comes rolled up in white gauze, and secured with a red string accentuated with a garnet drop.
