Popular for good reason.
Great screen resolution, full PalmOS PDA, pretty good reception (at least on the Sprint PCS network in major cities), usable web browser, bluetooth capability, DateBook, Contacts database, MP3/Audible player, and so on.

Camera is somewhat usable if you have a still, close subject in bright light but otherwise you can forget about it.

Note that the screen resolution is *better* than the Treo 700 models.
This is the phone to get if you would like PalmOS. If you want Windows CE, you'll have to get a recommendation elsewhere.

I LOVE my palm treo 650, it's fabulous expecially with a 5 GB memory card. You have to be careful and not EVER get it even the slightest bit wet or it could get water damage and never work again. But while it works it's awesome and I wouldn't trade it for ANY other phone!

My first treo, but not my first palm product.... It took all the wonderful things I loved from my original palm pilot, and then the updated Palm Zire, and added a phone and more memory. It's a great tool for today's hectic lifestyle. (via debegray)

If you thought more a minute that a Virgo could live without some sort of hand held device to keep their lives in order you are wrong. Dead wrong. The Treo is perfect for the anal ... um I mean super organized Virgo.

Works well as a PDA. The screen is bright and readable. Sometimes the phone locks up when trying to do too many functions at once but all and all it's a fairly good device for managing my schedule and remembering appointments, taking calls, photos and notes. The volume on the ear piece is not very high even when turned up as far as it can go and it is awkward to hold up to your head for any length time.
I have solved this with a Nxzen Blue tooth ear bud which is amazing! (via Palm.com)

I had a palm pilot years ago so I want a new one like this!

Couldn't live without this Treo. The phone still isn't perfect, but it is the best combination out there. Get one now!
