I'm telling you all up front, I'm not a DJ, and I don't walk down the street speaking knowledge in the form of lyrical rhyme, if you do either then Madlib's "The Beat Konducta Vol.3 & 4: in India" might be just the thing for you. It's not a conventional song based collection which means I'm not going to play it while working, or driving my friends around, but rather "The Beat Konducta Vol.3 & 4" takes in the Asian (reads Indian) atmosphere that Timbaland has been spreading around Nutella style and reworks it into beat worthy loops. It's the perfect thing to drop into a live mix, or to practice vocals over. Like "Madlib Presents Blunted in the Bomb Shelter " it's got a lot of hart, but doesn't go into any actual song, still I love the idea and I'm having a lot of fun singing 70's classic rock lyrics over Madlib's Indian styling.
