A group of teen brainiac prankster tech schoolers are pressured to complete the development of a super-laser in order to pass their lab requirements. Little do they know that their school project is actually a highly classified government-sponsored weapon for which their narcissistic professor is receiving kickbacks, using the money to remodel his enormous house. When this clique of frenetic megabrains discovers their professor's ulterior motive, they devise an epic, multi-stage prank to get even. Highlights: kids turning a dorm hallway into a skating rink that sublimates for easy clean up, and Chris Knight's fashion sense, specifically his T-shirts, which include "Surf Nicaragua" and "I Heart Toxic Waste."

I would go so far as to say this might just be the most quotable movie of the entire 1980s. One of my favorites: "Moles and trolls, moles and trolls, work, work, work, work, work. We never see the light of day. We plan this thing for weeks and all they want to do is study. I'm disgusted. I'm sorry but it's not like me, I'm depressed. There was what, no one at the mutant hamster races, we only had one entry into the Madame Curie look-alike contest and he was disqualified later. Why do I bother?"

Hilarious and fun movie about a 15 year old genius in college who teams up with a group of other talented students. None of them know that their weaselly professor and the military have an eye on their groundbreaking laser until its too late. (via Amazon)
