Dasani is one of a handful of waters on the market on which you can't find the words 'natural' or 'spring'. It's purified tap water, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Dasani uses 'reverse osmosis' to remove pretty much everything from their tap water supply. They then add Magnesium, Potassium and Chloride to give it some taste. I find Dasani...ok. It tastes fresh (due to the chlorine and such) but is a teeny bit metallic (magnesium). They tried to make it taste crisp but I don't feel that.
Bottom line: Clean, fresh water. A little metallic. Better than some taps, but If you have a choice, try Aquafina.
