I have a bit of a fetish when it comes to electronic personal grooming devices. I'm working on it.
This is an excellent electric toothbrush, and certainly Sonicare's best yet. If you've used any of their older ones, rejoice! The FlexCare has an Oral-B type brush head, which easily attaches+detaches and is ridiculously simple to clean. The brushing is the same, fast sonic motion, but they've included a slightly larger brush head for those of us with non-elf teeth (rejoice!) It still has the Quadtimer (short beeps every 30 seconds reminding you to move to a different area) and now includes a 'Go' and 'Max Clean' mode for convenient, on the go or deep clean use.
Best of all is the classic Philips styling - it looks downright classy in your bathroom. It also has a built in sanitizer, which, while I don't believe is strictly necessary, is useful - it compactly stores the brush head and dries it completely. Press the button on top and the Philips logo lights up with a cool UV glow - letting you know your brush head is getting the time of it's life (I guess).
Perfect for the grooming gadgets fetishist or gingivitis sufferer in your life.

You're going to have to start taking better care of your teeth, now that you aren't on Mom and/or Dad's dental plan anymore.
Take it from me, ALL of the dentists I have been to since Sonicare was invented recommend it. When you don't get to see a dentist every six months, subsequent cleanings really suck! So, cut yourself some slack and reduce the risk of something ugly! Ask for one of these for graduation. (via amazon.com)

Hi Gary,
Sorry. That was a bit of snarkyiniess on my part and not called for. I'll remove that. (for those wondering, the tag 'dentists recommend it because they're paid')
I was referring to the free seminars by Sonicare in which they tell you the benefits and give you at least 1 free unit. You're right, it's not being paid. And it's no worse than free seminars for doctors.
Thanks for the heads-up.
