Clicker training is a fun and motivational way to work with your dog. In clicker training, the clicker is used to mark the correct behavior (timing is important with this!) and then reward it by either treats, praise, a toy or tug, or other means. Clicker training allows you to teach fairly complex behaviors through free-shaping, too.

Remember those square "box" clickers they sell at the PetStore? Those are such a pain! You have to stick your finger into the box to click it - so if you don't have it ready to click you just missed your chance to mark the correct behavior.

The iClick is just a smarter design. The big yellow button can be clicked from anywhere - you can click it with your fingers, palm, foot, even against the side of your leg if you need to. You don't have to fumble and search for the "right" end of the clicker or rush to get your finger into the right place.
