As the smaller version of the 46mm BR 01, the 42mm BR 03 case is accessible to pretty much anyone. People do not often say that this size is too big for them as they do with the BR01. Bell & Ross was amongst the first companies to offer an all-black watch. Dubbed the Phantom, the original BR-01 model was produced in limited numbers and sold out rather quickly. Now the BR-03 is available in limited production. This means that no more the 500 will be produced in any given year. Still relatively hard to get. I have worn this watch on several occasions and I would rank it in the top 3 most commented-on watches that i have ever worn. The funnest part was when asked what time it is. I just held up my wrist as if showing the person the time. His face was perplexed then intrigued as at first sight it seems that the watch does not display anything at all. Because the numbers and hands are so big, however, there is no problem reading the time if you are expecting the all-black dial. Furthermore, the hands and markers are photo-luminescent so they are very visible when the lights are off. (via Bell & Ross section at Matt Baily)
