This book is a MUST read. Weaver is one of the lead authors of the IPCC reports and (big ups) also Canadian. So right there he's got my vote. But the book is a no-nonsense review of what is really going on in the field of climate change science, and no one can tell it better than Weaver. At times a bit sciency, but never over your head, he tells the story with a Canadian focus. I particularly enjoyed the overview he gives of journalistic balance and how peer-reviewed science should be an exception, instead of giving an very small minority of (and might I add INSANE) climate deniers equal voice in the media, thus confusing the public about whether or not climate change is even happening! (IT IS). A great read, if you're not sure about climate change - READ IT. If you think you know everything there is to know - READ IT. Good stuff.
