An alternative to washable cloth diapers. They work wonderfully and still do not have as big of an impact on the environment as regular diapers.

I haven't tried these but am definitely interested in doing so with baby #2. It's great to think about flushing the diaper and not adding it to landfills.

I love these gDiapers. My son is 2 months and looks oh-so adorable in these. I have no problem flushing them, don't even have to break them up, so no mess. And they come in such adorable colors!!

The breathable diaper you can flush
gDiapers consist of a washable, cotton outer pant and a plastic free flushable refill. They are made of breathable material just like sports clothing. So, babies stay dry and happy and are far less likely to get diaper rash.
Can't flush? It's ok to toss flushable refills because they're plastic-free. Or garden compost the wet ones. They'll break down in 50-150 days.
NEW 'little g' Pants
New easy fit. Everything you love about g, only better.
* Snug, non-bulky natural fit.
* New softer velcro closures around the back.
* More stretch in the waist and legs fits all babies better.
* Comfy baby-soft waistband.
Flushable Refills
gDiapers flushable refills are plastic free. They contain super-absorbing lock away cells (SAP) for high absorbency both day and night. The outer material is made of all natural fibers and has a stay dry feel. Refills can be flushed, composted (wet ones only) or thrown away.

The compromise between cloth & disposable diapers. The outside is reusable and the liner is flushable! Julia Roberts uses these for baby Henry saying, "It is flushable, but you’ve got to stir that thing! If you don’t really break it all the way up, it doesn’t go all the way down.” (via The Green Quote: Julia Roberts Wants Less Trash)

Besides just feeling good about not putting all those diapers in the landfills I love gDiapers because they do not give my daughter diaper rash. All disposables do. And I can use cloth in them at home to save money!

Well they have arrived. The 1st biodegradable diapers that you can actually flush! Yes, no more trash cans, no more smelly rooms, just pull off, flush and throw another one on. The inner liner (the flushable part) is made of all natural fiber that is 100% biodegradable, which just one of the reasons gDiapers are the first consumer packaged good to receive Cradle to Cradle accreditation - a certification that took into account both the environmental impact of the product and the ethics of the company and its suppliers.
