Bonsai trees are so fun to take care of and watch grow, and they make a great gift for anyone, anytime. Men, women, work friends, teachers - - birthdays, congratulations, mother's day, holidays - - you get the picture. These are under $30.00 and are a gift that will last a very long time. Just so perfect.

I love giving bonsai as gifts. Personally, I feel they have such regal presence anywhere they live. A gift that can be for him, for her, for business associates. And for any occasion - birthdays, anniversaries, housewarming, or just because. They'll never guess this cost you only $27.

It's fun and rewarding to grow bonsai. They perk up any room, area or desk. If carefully trained, they can be a thing of beauty.

Luckily, when you buy them from vendors like GiftTree.com, they come several years old, already trained and so they tend to look like they do in this photo. If you buy a very young tree from a general greenhouse, be prepared to work. You also need to be prepared to buy some specialty items to maintain your tree and keep it healthy. In my opinion, it's well worth it.

A bonsai is always a great gift, especially if you are out of ideas. It's elegant, somewhat easy to take care of (this type anyway), and carries a lot of prestige. Dad does not need to know this was inexpensive either.
