I saw somebody wearing this shirt at Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade last weekend. I walked past the guy on his left (thus missing the big number on the right sleeve) and thought it was a clever statement about brands and conspicuous consumption. But apparently Ralph Lauren himself is selling them and expecting us to take them seriously.
