Kevyn Aucoin The Elegant Lip Gloss with Retractable Brush, Molasses (Sheer Tawny), 1 ea
I would classify this as being quite neutral, and good for achieving a nude lip for both cool and warm toned people – especially with yellow and yellow/orange undertones. The categorization of this as a lip gloss is slightly misleading. It is much more a hybrid of a sheer lipstick and a wet gloss. The texture is quite creamy and smooth, and the shimmer does not irritate even slightly. This is almost unscented, but I do pick up on a really, really, really light whiff of a coconut-like smell when I first apply. The scent disappears within thirty seconds, so those who don't like scent shouldn't be bothered by it at all. The staying power is good for a sheer lipstick, but more or less average for a gloss. The Elegant Lip Glosses are all packaged with a particularly nice retractable lip brush made of natural hairs. Normally, I strongly prefer a synthetic brush, but this brush is soooo soft, pliable, and efficient that I find it to be one of the nicer lip brushes I've ever tried. Moreover, the brush is particularly compact, measuring at 3 3/4" when closed. I would recomend Molasses only to those who enjoy sheer lipsticks. The addition of the lip brush makes it a really great product for me. In addition, on a busy morning, this does save me the step of using a separate gloss to get a nice shiny sheen.
