How do they get that pear in there? The 750 ml bottle is placed over the tiny pear while still on the branch during the summer and allowed to grow inside. After the pear-in-a-bottle has been "harvested" and cleaned thoroughly by hand, pear brandy distilled from the pure fruit mash of 30 pounds of Bartlett pears is used to fill it. (via Luxist)

I don't know if I could do it, but I wouldn't want to drink the pear brandy made from 30 pound of pears per bottle just to save the beauty of the pear that grew inside the bottle.

What am I, insane?

Of course I'd drink it.
