I'm a guy who was on the eternal search for the magic shave cream. Always trying something new... space age gels, warm foams, super slippery creams, even plant oils. All were supposed to reduce razor burn and nicks. All were ridulously expensive. None of them worked.
Then, away on a biz trip and forgetting to pack my super slim injector tube of cool gel (man, did that stuff sting!), I stopped in a Body Shop on my way to the airplane. They only had one type of men's shave cream, and it wasn't very expensive, so I just tossed it in my bag and gave it no thought until the next morning.
Woahhhhhh, this is the magic stuff... the best shave cream ever. The tubs (using a brush) last for about 2 months (not bad for $13) and give the best result (I use on my beard and my head). The tubes are great for travel and can be appied by hand (though they don't seem to last like the tubs). Splurge on a nice badger hair brush from Crabtree & Evelyn (http://www.thisnext.com/item/029CECC1/0AD4B971/Crabtree-Evelyn-Ebony-3-Piece) and your man will love you for ever.
