Unlike a lot of Smith Machines, the tracking bars on this one are at a slight angle. Which is better biomechanically, because when we lift our bodies don't follow a straight up and down path. So this more closely mimics the motion you get when you use free weights. And it has 20 safety lock-out points, so you don't have to worry about getting trapped under the bar.
