The best album devoted to Anne Frank ever! Seriously though, there are few albums that can match up to unreserved awesomeness that is In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. "King of Carrot Flowers pt 1" is probably my favorite messed-up love songs of all time.

Probably one of my top 20 favorite albums. Such an awesome choice. Half of one of the most painfully sparse oeuvres in rock history.

If you haven't heard this album yet, I'm sorry. While you can't reclaim you're indie cred, you can start over by listening to one of the best albums to come along in awhile. I don't know why I tend to recommend the strangest music here, but regardless, this is an album everyone should hear.

This is one of the most important lo-fi albums of all time. Influencing a ridiculous amount of indie rock bands "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" still does not sound dated. Jeff Mangum is completely worshipped by the hipster crowd. Hands down the best band within the Elephant Six collective (no offense to Olivia Tremor Control, Apples in Stereo, Elf Power or any others).

I had this cd when I was younger and I practically wore it out. I just bought the record recently and I think I fell for it again. The sound is very crisp and this guy can hold a note for the rest of his life.
