Now I dont mind helping out in the kitchen or preparing a nice dinner for loved ones, but when it comes to chopping onions i absolutely refuse to do it. My eyes get really swollen and burn like crazy. So I would gladly buy these. So what if they're a lil corny if they work then looking goofy is just a small price to pay. I would also consider trying this before buying them.
1)Chewing gum while chopping onions has been tested and said to keep your eyes from burning when working with onions.
HEY! Its worth a try.

Slip on a pair of onion goggles for tear-free chopping, mincing, dicing, and slicing! Comfortable foam seal protects eyes from irritating vapors. Anti-fog lenses offer maximum clarity and eye protection. Unisex design fits most face shapes, but will not fit over glasses.

Gone are the days of ruining your eye make up before a dinner party, or skipping the ingredient all together because you can't see when you're chopping. These ingenious onion goggles are air tight protectors from that mysterious tear-jerker. (via Delight store)

Everyone has trouble cutting onions, its just a fact. So, if you cook often a good pair of onion goggles is definitely necessary. These are pink and protect the eyes from being irritated.

I've got some weird tear duct condition where I don't cry cutting onions... so that's my Thanksgiving day job, but I know most everyone else does cry because of the vapors from the onion combine into a mild sulfuric acid ... and that's why you cry. So, don't burn your eyes when you can get onion goggles!

These would be very useful and hopefully would stop me from tearing up everytime I cut into Onions. I wonder if wearing these Onion Goggles would make me look more of a nerd, but for cooking?
